Welcome to LaNoMat

The Laboratory of New Materials for Energy and Electrochemistry systems (Le Laboratoire de nouveaux matériaux pour l’énergie et l’électrochimie : LaNoMat) is founded in 2001 from an award of the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (FCI). LaNoMat is in the spirit of the Laboratory of Electrochemistry and Energetic Materials (LECMEN) founded in 1990.
The mission of LaNoMat is to develop new concepts, methods of fabrication and characterization of New Nano materials for energy and Electrochemical systems. The Laboratory also develops research activities on renewable energies, hydrogen production, its storage and utilization, energy storage and energy and sustainable development and his Director, Prof O. Savadogo is responsible of the graduate programs: renewable energies and Energy and sustainable Development.
We also offer some expertise on aspects related to analysis and characterization of materials; and on energy and sustainable development.
